Position Summary

Portland Community College is seeking to fill a full-time Interim Program Director position in our pre-licensure Associate Degree Nursing program. The PCC nursing program utilizes the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE) curriculum, employs a team-teaching approach and is committed to social justice, equity and belonging.   • Knowledge of current nursing education best practices and a commitment to equity in education
  • Desire to work as an administrator in a pre-licensure nursing program in higher education
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships with clinical and community affiliates

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Documentation of preparation and experience in curriculum development and evaluation in addition to teaching in a nursing program
  • Five years of full time nursing experience, including three years as a nurse educator or nursing education program administrator, and at least two years of patient care
  • Current unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of Oregon or the ability to be licensed in the state

  • Knowledge / Experience with OCNE

Position Grade M
Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $85,663 to range midpoint of $104,938. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
