PCC is looking for a Nursing Skills Lab Facilitator who under the direction of the Director of Nursing Programs, assists in facilitating the operation of the nursing skills lab. Primary accountabilities include coordinating the utilization of the nursing lab including the scheduling of students, staff and work study students into the lab; assisting with orienting new staff and faculty to the philosophy and learning activities of the lab; operationalizing the curricular learning activities as identified by full-time faculty, as well as providing faculty with guidance related to the use of the skills lab learning environment.

Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.

  1. Experience working with diverse teams.
  2. Experience working with high-fidelity simulation equipment from Laerdal.
  3. Experience coordinating a nursing skills lab and simulation lab, including the scheduling of students, staff and work study students into the lab. 
  4. Experience orienting new staff and faculty to the philosophy and learning activities of the lab.
  5. Demonstrated experience providing faculty with guidance related to the use of the skills lab learning environment.  

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Associate's degree or higher in Nursing
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Oregon
  • Three years of nursing experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

Position Grade 4
Starting Salary Expectations Starting Salary: $45,292 to $48,518 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $47335 to $82083 Annual Salary

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in the nursing skills laboratory which may require occasional exposure to safety hazards.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, lifting and carrying of materials and equipment.
