Portland Community College is seeking a Facilities Project Manager with strong space planning skills in addition to construction project management skills. This position resides in the Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) Department, part of Facilities Management Services (FMS), and reports to the PDC Manager/College Architect. PDC has three project managers, a BIM System Administrator, and occasionally interns that all provide service to the entire PCC district. At any given time, there may be between 40 and 60 active projects underway. The projects cover the full extent of the district, encompassing the built environment of over 2.5 million square feet at four campuses and eight centers. This position would facilitate projects such as office and classroom remodels and equipment upgrades. It would include furniture and moving coordination, signage, accessibility upgrades, painting/flooring replacements and more. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, Planning, or other related field.

Job Success Qualifications
- Experience in providing space utilization data and recommendations on best use of space.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and/or space management software.
- Experience in managing and/or coordinating multiple tenant improvement projects, from small to large projects, in a multicampus environment.
- Experience in Construction management principles and facility planning principles
- Experience in planning, preparation, monitoring and manages project budgets to identify and prevent potential financial overruns and variances; makes appropriate decision/recommendations to alleviate financial implications.

Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or Construction Management (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Two years of responsible facility planning and construction project management experience.
- Experience in providing support to an organization wide space allocation committee.
|Starting Salary Expectations
||Minimum $67,189 to range mid-point of $82,307. Placement generally will not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

||$67189 to $97423 Annual Salary

|Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
||Work is generally performed in both an office and outdoor environment, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Frequent sitting, reaching, walking, standing, lifting, stooping, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required. Incumbents may be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
