These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position. Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in transportation, facilities maintenance, or related field.Leadership experience with ability to train a diverse team.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices and transportation safety standards.Valid CDL Class B driver’s license with passenger and airbrake; ability to operate large vehicles preferred.Knowledge of signage installation, parking lot and traffic markings.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience in basic facilities, construction or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting, including one year of lead experience. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement for operation of motor vehicles within the State of Oregon or Washington and have an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to train, guide, and coordinate a team of Transit Service Operators and drivers. Proficiency with common hand tools, basic computer operations, and mechanical troubleshooting is essential. The role requires physical endurance, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive movements, and work in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety procedures, is critical. The position also calls for excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while remaining calm under pressure and adapting to changing priorities.Vehicle wiring a plus.
