Position Summary

The P&CC Construction Accountant I is a Temporary position currently funded through June 30, 2033.

Planning & Capital Construction at PCC manages the projects funded by the $450M 2022 bond program.
This position will review the complex construction pay applications, including contract billings, progress billings based on a schedule of values, Time & Materials Billings, unit-based contract billings, and prevailing wage payroll from contractors and invoices from consultants for compliance with PCC and state and Federal regulations.

The role of this position is to request and review required backup documentation for invoice/pay applications, understand billing contract terms, and reconcile billing and retainage during the project life.   The position works with contractors, consultants, and P&CC project managers to resolve any issues with billing and payment.

  • Experience with E-builder or other Project Management Information Systems

  • Experience with reviewing complex construction pay applications

  • Ability to communicate complex/technical data effectively – orally and in writing

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Support social equity goals of the office and college

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. Experience performing the duties described above may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • One year of general accounting experience.
  • Depending on particular job assignment, course work or experience in municipal or fund accounting may be required.
  • Must have good communication skills; bondable; detail oriented; accurate keyboarding and 10-key experience.
  • Must have good computer skills and a good working knowledge of spreadsheet applications.

Starting Salary Expectations $55,323.00 to $62,753.00 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $55,323.00 to $95,936.00 Annual Salary
