The Accessibility Advocate Coordinator provides training and mentorship for student leaders who are hired by Accessible Ed & Disability Resources (AEDR). Student leaders engage in programming, participate in the College’s Accessibility Council, and create space for disability culture across PCC’s on-site and online spaces. The Advocate Coordinator works out of the Accessibility Hub at our Southeast campus, with some work performed remotely. Typical work activities include:
Mentoring student leaders and providing coaching and programming support
Providing on-site staffing coverage for activities in the Accessibility Hub
Connecting student leaders with opportunities to participate in college service
Creating regular check-ins with student leaders and elevating concerns as appropriate
Checking activity logs and providing coaching or technical assistance
Contributing to department efforts that provide professional development materials and opportunities for colleagues

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline, to include coursework in marketing, project management and training, plus one year related work experience. Experience performing the duties described above may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Requires understanding of educational program needs assessment/development methodologies.
Ability to organize and maintain complex/technical activities and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Must have ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, within and outside the college district. Ability to provide effective guidance and work direction to others.
Proficient in use of personal computer, mainframe and other standard office equipment.
