The Media Services Technician II is a key member of our Media Services team, responsible for coordinating district-wide media service functions, providing advanced technical support, and training faculty and staff on the effective use of media technology. This role requires a strong understanding of audio-visual, assistive technology, and distance education equipment and software, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and community members. Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member. Ability to work closely with others, be reliable and take direction.Strong experience setting up and managing audio-visual equipment in various environments (e.g classrooms, event space, conference rooms, etc.). Demonstrated experience operating audio and video systems for live events, both in person and online (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).Demonstrated ability to successfully follow through on tasks, projects and other work as assigned.Excellent problem solving ability and incident\outage response.Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of computer networks, including software tools such as remote access (VPN, RDP, etc.). Ability to learn new digital media systems and support toolkits. Knowledge working with and troubleshooting hardware components.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree or two years of college level coursework in computer science discipline, media services or related area (relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis). Three years’ experience working with various types of computer software and hardware, operating audio visual equipment and using automated recording systems.Must possess knowledge of current computer hardware, operating systems, client/server and network technologies. This knowledge could be demonstrated by possessing one or more of the following certifications: A+ Net+ Microsoft related CTS Extron, Crestron, AMX related certifications Polycom or Cisco certifications for videoconferencing Completion of PCC multimedia program
