Position Summary

This is a Part time .75 FTE position (approximately 1,560 hours per year).

Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:30pm M-F

Transportation & Parking Department is hiring a Parking Enforcement Analyst. You'll combine customer service, data analysis, and problem-solving to support fair and efficient parking enforcement. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while developing technical and communication skills in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and visitors via phone, email, live chat, and in person.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented – Experience in data analysis, reconciling accounts, and ensuring database accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving Ability – Skilled at researching and resolving parking enforcement issues, appeals, and outstanding accounts.
  • Organization & Time Management – Capable of handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Technical Proficiency – Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and payment reconciliation systems.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Works well in a team environment while also being able to take initiative independently.
  • Knowledge of Policies & Regulations – Understanding or willingness to learn parking enforcement policies, debt collection procedures, and appeals processes.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Three years of office assistant experience (College or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in customer service, administrative support, or data analysis, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key, along with the ability to analyze and interpret data to support decision-making. Experience handling financial transactions, account reconciliation, or debt collection is a plus. The ideal candidate can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with familiarity in policies, regulations, or compliance-related tasks being beneficial.

Position Grade 15
Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $21.42 to $22.07 per hour. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
- Starts at 8 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of service)

- 24 hours of additional personal leave days per year - 12 Paid holidays

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work Environment and Physical Characteristics

Positions in this job family typically work in an office setting but may be assigned more physical duties such as transporting office supplies and equipment. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Some positions may involve limited local travel.
