Portland Community College’s Education and Human Services Pathway is seeking an Instructional Administrative Assistant II (AA -II - Temp) to support the Education and Human Services Department. While strong administrative skills are essential, even more valuable are enthusiasm, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to work across departments and pathways to provide exceptional service to PCC students, partners, and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Human Services Program Dean, this position offers an exciting opportunity for an inclusive and motivated individual to support the daily operations of the Education and Human Services programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, effective planning, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while engaging with various campus stakeholders. The Administrative Assistant II will also advance department goals and foster an environment aligned with PCC’s commitment to civil rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key responsibilities include tracking budgets, payroll, hiring, and employment for the programs; supporting event logistics (such as purchasing, room reservations, AV, and catering); assisting with faculty and staff onboarding; responding to student inquiries; overseeing assigned projects; and coordinating with external industry partners. The AA-II tracks all budgets, payroll, hiring, and employment for the Education and Human Services programs.
