Portland Community College’s ThinkBIG Caterpillar Diesel Technology program is seeking a new full-time faculty member. The ThinkBIG program is a recognized leader in preparing future technicians for the evolving industry. We are currently looking for a full-time faculty member who has up-to-date automotive repair knowledge to teach a variety of courses in our field. Examples of such courses may include: Engine Fundamentals, Engine Fuel Systems, Hydraulic Fundamentals, Generators and EPG Calculations. A combination of Diesel/Heavy equipment teaching experience in an accredited institution and/or Diesel/Heavy Equipment service and repair experience in a commercial repair facility equal to 5 full years, and have:

A portion of the 6% will be diverted to The Employee Pension Stability Account as mandated by Senate Bill 1049. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for courses offered at PCC for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age; plus partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions.
