Executive Assistant I - Associate Vice President of Finance and Compliance

Position Summary

This Executive Assistant I will provide complex and confidential support to PCC’s Associate Vice President (AVP) of Finance. This position requires discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance.

The primary duties and responsibilities involve the oversight of the AVP of Finance’s office operations.  This will include coordinating calendars, arrangement and note-taking for meetings, arranging events, assisting in budget preparation, coordinating and working with human resources on hiring, compensation and benefit issues for all levels of staff, and processing paperwork. 

 The Executive Assistant I will also provide assistance to students, staff, and the public, perform complex data analysis, facilitate building operations and managing space allocation, fulfill department procurement needs, and represent the AVP of Finance’s office on committees and meetings.

Candidate Profile

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.

  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and analyzing budgets; preferably using Banner and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR and recruitment functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Associate’s Degree in business administration or related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

One (1) year of progressively responsible administrative support experience.

Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $63,566 to range midpoint of $77,868. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional business office environment on a PCC campus, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in work schedule. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time (sitting or standing); communicate with employees, partners, and stakeholders; and operate a computer to develop work products, communicate, and carry out responsibilities. Occasionally the employee is required to move about the campus to; attend meetings, access items, and utilize equipment, and, rarely, move or transport items up to 10 pounds.
