Specialist - Transportation Demand Management

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Parking and Transportation Manager, coordinates the College’s programs to reduce single occupancy vehicles arriving at PCC campuses. Oversees all aspects of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs at PCC by collecting data to evaluate transportation usage, promoting alternative transportation options, and working with community leaders to communicate effects of transportation issues in the surrounding areas.  Plays a key role in the development and implementation of the initiatives identified in the TDM Plan.  Leads initiatives associated with multimodal transportation needs of the college community.

  • Experience collecting data to evaluate transportation usage, promoting alternative transportation options.
  • Experience with Community and agency partner engagement and relationship building. Working with community leaders to communicate the effects of transportation issues in the surrounding areas.
  • Experience planning and conducting outreach events focused on transportation participants.
  • Experience with grant funding management - Capture, record, and analyze data in support of project evaluation and reporting
  • Strong communication skills, including written, in-person, visual, and public presentation skills.
  • Candidates should also have strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities, and manage their time with a moderate level of supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

- Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, or a related field (Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis). 

- Three years of experience working in urban, transportation, or land use planning.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and coordination.
- Experience in promoting sustainable initiatives as it pertains to alternative transportation options.

Position Grade 3
Starting Salary Expectations $62,753 to $67,225 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $62753 to $108812 Annual Salary

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment. Occasional extended work hours for special projects and field work when collecting data.
