Position Summary

PCC is seeking a dynamic leader to embrace the role of Dean of Online Learning. The leader should have a proven record in developing and managing comprehensive online education programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership within an academic team and possess a clear vision for the future of online learning, aligned with our mission of equitable student success.


As the Dean of Online Learning, you will lead a team of professionals in instructional design, media creation, course development, faculty development, and compliance. You will collaborate with academic and student affairs leadership to drive change and work closely with academic deans to enhance online degree and certificate programs, offering flexible completion options for students.


This role is a hybrid position with about 50% on-campus work. This position is based out of the Sylvania campus but attends meetings and activities at other PCC locations.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate colleagues, support, and mentor team members, and cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment that focuses on continuous improvement. Inspires and empowers colleagues across the college to innovate and adapt to online education’s evolving landscape of flexible online educational experiences for students

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Master’s Degree and eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the area of assignment, providing program/project management or program/project coordination.
  • Four (4) years of higher education management/supervisory experience.
  •  OR Bachelor’s Degree and ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the area of assignment, providing program/project management or program/project coordination.
  • Four (4) years of higher education management/supervisory experience.

 

Position Grade O
Starting Salary Expectations Minimum $116,103 to range midpoint of $142,228. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Position Grade Salary Range $116103 to $168351 Annual Salary

PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office or remote environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
