PCC Non-credit Ayurveda Yoga Program: Part-time Faculty Position
Portland Community College’s Integrative Health Programs provide students and working professionals with career training and professional development courses focused on health and well-being. We are currently seeking part-time faculty members who have current content knowledge, who can balance academics with practical application, and are committed to equitable student success.

Ayurveda Yoga Adjunct Faculty Job Description (Part-time)
The PCC-IHP Ayurvedic Yoga Health Program (200 & 300 hour RYT) is seeking applicants qualified to teach the YTT module starting ASAP. This course is taught quarterly each term via Zoom on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 6-8:20 pm PT.
The instructor’s work includes delivering yoga teacher training instruction and creating and delivering weekly hybrid sessions, grading and providing feedback on student work, interacting with students via email, Zoom and in person and online discussion forums.
Ayurvedic Yoga Health Program Outcomes (200 hours):
1. Certified to be able to register with Yoga Alliance
2. Able to teach Yoga asana and pranayama classes with Ayurvedic focus
3. Knowledge of of dosha, season and balance by time of year
The Yoga and Ayurveda Health Program has four 50-hour classes delivered in the year-long program. The season topics covered are listed here.
Minimum Instructor Qualifications:
· 10 years experience as a Yoga Teacher at the 500-hour level
· Current certification with Yoga Alliance
· Certified by NAMA at the level of an Ayurvedic Health Counselor or above
· Experience teaching adults new curriculum in a hybrid environment

PCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. Includes Health, Dental, and Vision options, Group Life, Long-term Disability, Long-term Care, and Auto and Home Insurance programs. Benefits are pro-rated for part-time employees.
Part-time faculty health insurance eligibility is based on workload during the previous academic year. Once eligible, available insurance plans include Health, Dental, and Vision options, as well as Long-term Care.
PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. Part-time faculty may be eligible for PERS/OPSRP if they meet the requirement of six months of employment and are working 600 hours or more per year. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children under 24 years of age, as well as tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.
Paid Leave: - 2 hours sick leave per pay period, up to 32 hours per year; a maximum of 8 hours of accrued sick leave per academic year may be used for personal reasons.
