Position Summary

Applications are now being accepted for a Part-Time Faculty Multi-Year Contract (MYC) in Art.

The screening process will include evaluation of application materials listed below.  Selected applicants will be invited for an interview.  The process may also include a teaching demonstration and/or work samples.

Multi-Year Contract Eligibility (4.2.2):   Any current bargaining unit part-time faculty member at Step 3 or higher and who has at least one satisfactory assessment is eligible to apply for a multiyear contract.

Application Requirements:

Required application materials: A current resume or CV and a cover letter (500-1000 words) addressing the following questions:

  • What efforts have you made to engage and support the success of underrepresented and/or historically marginalized students?
  • What are some of the key Professional Development activities you have participated in in the past three years and how have you applied this learning to your teaching?
  • How have you made use of student feedback?  What changes or adjustments, if any, have you made based on student feedback?

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), you may view Portland Community College’s (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on the Department of Public Safety website. The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years. Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
