Portland Community College’s Medical Lab Technology (MLT) Program is a regional leader in educating the next generation of lab technicians. We are currently seeking a full-time faculty member who can also serve as the programs’ NAACLS-approved Program Director. This position is a mix of on-campus instruction and program administration. The MLT Program offers a 2-year associate’s degree that provides a mix of face-to-face and online didactic courses alongside hands-on skills labs that prepare students for the ASCP certification exam and a career as a lab professional. Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s (or higher degree)
ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
Knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures
Three (3) years of teaching or training experience
Two (2) years of recent experience working in a clinical laboratory setting performing testing
PCC Full-Time Faculty Schedule 2022/23
PCC offers a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide employees and their families, including domestic partners, with access to a broad range of benefit options. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for courses offered at PCC for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age; plus partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions. * Please note: Temporary Full-Time Faculty are not eligible for Personal Leave Days, Life Insurance, Long-term Disability, or AD&D Insurance.Paid Leave:1 day of sick leave for every 18 days worked (~10 per year)21 hours of additional personal leave per year4 paid holidays (which occur during the term you are teaching)
